This year, the annual Kickin’ Cancer game, t-shirt fundraiser and donations will be honoring Dave Day. Dave is a lifelong Coopersville resident, graduating from Coopersville High School in 1999. In 2005, Dave married his wife, Staci, who is a 1998 Coopersville High School graduate. Dave and Staci have two children, BryAnn and DJ. BryAnn is a junior at Coopersville High School and DJ is an 8th grader at Coopersville Middle School. In March 2026, Dave was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer. Since his diagnosis, Dave has undergone multiple treatments and has had tremendous results in shrinking his cancer. Even with these great results, there are still treatments and procedures to take place. Please help us make this a successful event honoring Dave and others battling and affected by cancer.

Pick up for the Kickin' Cancer t-shirts will be on Thursday, September 24 during the Varsity boys soccer practice from 6:00-8:00 pm at the James P Meerman stadium soccer field. If you are a Coopersville Public School staff member and would prefer your apparel delivered to an on campus building, please specify which building in comments when checking out.
