This year, the annual Kickin’ Cancer game, t-shirt fundraiser and donations will be honoring Brandy Sypniewski. Brandy is the Media Paraprofessional at Coopersville Middle School. Brandy, her husband Steve and son J.D., who will be a freshman this year at Coopersville High School, are residents of Coopersville. In April 2025, Brandy was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer. Since her diagnosis in April 2025, Brandy has undergone multiple treatments and has multiple treatments still to come. Brandy is currently still working at the middle school and has plans to donate some of the proceeds back to the Coopersville Media Center to help the students continue education and love of learning.

Wear your Kickin’ Cancer T-shirt to the game on September 24th and get in free! Thank you for your help in making this a successful event and honoring Brandy and others battling and affected by cancer. Kickin' Cancer T-Shirt Fundraiser Sale ends on September 7, 2025.

Pick up for the Kickin' Cancer t-shirts will be on September 22 during the JV home game from 5:00-7:00 pm and September 23 from 6:00-8:00 pm at the James P Meerman stadium soccer field. If you are a Coopersville Public School staff member and would prefer your apparel delivered to an on campus building, please specify which building in comments when checking out.
